About Mary

I’m Mary—a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend based in Ratoath, Co. Meath. Like many of you, I wear many hats, and I understand the complexities of balancing life’s responsibilities and challenges. My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both my own personal experiences and my professional background.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University & PCI College and I am fully accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). I am trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality). I have professional certificates in Mindfulness, Trauma, EMDR, Family Systems Therapy, Grief & Prolonged Grief, Coaching and a professional diploma in Sandtray & Symbolic Expression.
I have a B Tech (Hons) from the University of Limerick together with extensive level 9 postgraduate training in Business & Leadership. With over 27 years in senior Business & HR roles, I’ve developed a deep understanding of workplace dynamics, career transitions, and the stress that often comes with a busy job.
Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, workplace issues or simply seeking a space for personal growth and self-awareness, I'm here to provide compassionate support and practical guidance as you navigate these difficulties and work toward healing and positive change.
I utilise a humanistic integrative approach, drawing on the influential works of Carl Rogers. I will incorporate a range of therapeutic modalities, including Person -Centred, Solution Focused, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamics, Compassionate Inquiry, Sandtray, Symbolic Expression, and Mindfulness. My approach to therapy is calm, gentle, and supportive. I believe in fostering a safe space where you can feel heard and understood, allowing us to work together on building greater self-awareness, healing, and healthier relationships. "I’m here to walk with you, step by step, as you navigate the complexities of life and create the changes you wish to see."
